Your mission

For our Regional Peace Support Department, we are looking for a Student Assistant (all genders) to support the preparation, implementation and documentation of project activities and events in Berlin and abroad. Requirement for this role is current enrollment at a university.


Overview of the position:
 
Hours: 25% part-time, up to 10 hours per week
Starting date: as soon as possible
Duration: limited contract until end of December 2026, with the possibility of extension (depending on project funds)
Hourly rate: €16
 Location: Berlin, Germany
 Department & reporting line: Negotiation and Mediation Support Department 
 
  • Support project implementation in close cooperation with the team
  • Coordinate with project team and partners regarding logistical, administrative and financial issues
  • Assist in organising travels and events in coordination with project team, including short-notice and high-level engagements
  • Conduct background research on thematic and context-specific issues and perform regular news monitoring
  • Support documentation of project activities and report-writing
  • Contribute to internal administration and coordination of the team

Your knowledge, experience & skills

  • Currently enrolled in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Political Sciences, Hospitality and Event Management, or similar
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in French and English, German is an asset
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Initial work experience in administration or management of projects in international settings
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to a very fluid project context
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Curiosity, passion, creativity and perseverance.
