Your mission

Overview of the position:
Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week)
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration: limited contract until the end of March 2027
Salary: According to TVöD Bund, pay grade E10
Location: Berlin, Germany 
Department & reporting line: Regional Peace Support Department 
 
Your main tasks:
  • You contribute to organizing, coordinating, and implementing project activities in close collaboration with the project team and local partners including the practical aspects of event and travel management
  • You contribute to the development of concept notes and project applications
  • You conduct background research and provide the team with abstracts about relevant topics when needed
  • You contribute to donor reporting ensuring internal & external guidelines are met
  • You take part in the communication towards project partners/stakeholders/participants
  • Occasional travel.

Your knowledge, experience & skills


  • You hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant field such as peace and conflict studies, political science, international relations or related discipline
  • You have first relevant working experience and an affinity for organizational tasks and project management
  • Furthermore, you could already gather experience in event organisation, budget management, coordination tasks, etc.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
  • Strong intercultural and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with unconventional and demanding conflict actors from across the political spectrum including high-level individuals
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail under time pressure and adjust to a very fluid project context 
  • Willingness to travel to the project region and other destinations as required
  • Curiosity, empathy, commitment and perseverance.
