Your mission
We are looking for an intern to support our research, training and policy work in the Conflict Transformation Research department. A condition for this role is a current enrollment at a university for a postgraduate degree requiring a compulsory internship. 
 
Overview of the position:
Hours: 39 hours per week (flexible) 
Starting date: August/September 2025
Duration: Limited contract until 31.12.2025
Location: Berlin, Germany 

Your main tasks:
  • Support project implementation in close cooperation with the team in Berlin and project partners 
  • Assist in and lead (when applicable) organising travels and events in coordination with project team 
  • Support documentation of project activities
  • Support to background research and to the preparation of briefing and project materials
Your knowledge, experience & skills
  • Currently enrolled in Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or similar
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Initial work experience in administration or project management, ideally in international settings
  • Knowledge of concepts and processes related to peacebuilding, DDR, democratisation
  • Ability to work under pressure and adjust to a very fluid project context
  • Excellent verbal and written language skills in English, French and German are asset
  • Strong ability to work as part of a intercultural team as well as independently
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Applications and ability to structure and visualize complexity  
  • Curiosity, passion, creativity and perseverance
