Location: remotely in Brussels, Belgium, with travels to Berlin, Germany
Department & reporting line: Executive Office, reporting to Head of Strategic Partnerships
Your main tasks:

Your main tasks:
- You oversee and lead strategic outreach and build strong partnerships with the EU (EEAS, Commission)
- You support and advice on funding opportunities to the EU, including grant-writing
- You monitor relevant policy developments and funding mechanisms, build strong relationships and create new opportunities for collaboration
- You coordinate Berghof Foundation’s internal contacts, touch points and relationships with EU actors and peacebuilding organizations represented in Brussels
- You build a systematic knowledge base and introduce suitable formats for advancing internal understanding of the EU
- You advance evidence-based policy-influencing with MEPs and key decision-makers at EEAS and Commission, covering key themes such as insider mediation, the climate – conflict nexus and MHPSS and mediation
- You provide expert advice on advocacy opportunities and lead the creation of policy positions and initiatives, in collaboration with senior advisors and like-minded organizations
- You contribute to relevant discussions and regularly attend conferences and roundtables in the EU policy scene in Brussels
